Alphalink Wireless delivers Broadband Internet Access to your house using wireless technology. No telephone line is requisite to access this service; however, a clear line of sight to one of our Transmission Points is essential. The service is accessed by means of a CPE, which consists of a wireless Ethernet bridge and an antenna, rather than a modem or router. The equipment is low impact and very unremarkable. Once installed it is very easy to use.

No telephone line required Wireless technology completely frees up your telephone line so that you (or your family) can take and make calls anytime, regardless of whether or not you are using the Internet. In fact, you do not even need a telephone line in your house to access the service. For many people, this immediately eliminates any additional expenses associated with having a dedicated telephone line installed for Internet Access, such as monthly line rental, as well as any Internet dumping charges billed to your telephone account.

Your connection is always on Whenever you turn on your computer it will be connected to the Internet. There are no busy signals, delays or time limits.

Faster Speeds As a broadband product, Wireless removes the speed restrictions imposed by the telephone network and your modem, allowing speeds almost 10 times faster than a 56k dial-up connection.
Low impact and unobtrusive equipment As can be observed in the examples below, the antennas and masts used for your Alphalink Wireless Connection are low-impact and more esthetically pleasing than a standard TV antenna.

 Hardware: You MUST HAVE an Ethernet Port installed in your computer.

Software: Win98SE, Win ME, Win 2000, Win XP or Mac OS 10.2 or later. Installation is not currently available for other operating systems. Where appropriate, you should ensure the latest Windows Updates are installed.
